US Military Amphibious Assault Ship in Japan Heads toward Middle East

The U.S. amphibious assault ship “Librador” was seen sailing off the coast of Singapore today (March 17), reportedly heading to the Middle East. The “Librador” amphibious assault ship and its Marine Corps crew were previously stationed at Yokosuka Base in Japan. Two anonymous U.S. officials said that the Pentagon is deploying additional forces to the Middle East, including the “Librador” and its Marine expeditionary unit — the “Librador” can also carry fighter jets. It is reported that this reinforcement will total 2,500 Marines and additional naval personnel sent to the Middle East. (CCTV International News)
