CBA Announces 2025 Banking Industry "Top 10 Events" and "Good News"
On March 17, the China Banking Association announced the “Top Ten Events in Banking for 2025.” The inclusion of the “Financial Powerhouse” in the five-year plan, the first review of the “Banking Supervision Law of the People’s Republic of China (Revised Draft),” and the issuance of the “Guiding Opinions on Doing a Good Job in the ‘Five Major Articles’ of Finance” by the General Office of the State Council are among the selected events.
At the sharing and exchange meeting held that day, Xing Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee and full-time Vice President of the China Banking Association, stated that the association has been releasing the “Top Ten Events” and “Good News” in banking for many years. These reflect the national policy trends and industry development from both macro and micro perspectives, embodying the political and people-oriented nature of financial work. The 2025 “Top Ten Events” focus on building a strong financial nation, covering key areas such as the revision of the “Banking Supervision Law of the People’s Republic of China,” financial risk prevention and mitigation, the “Five Major Articles” of finance, supporting small and micro enterprise financing coordination mechanisms, developing new productive forces, boosting consumption, and promoting high-level opening-up, showcasing significant achievements in banking reform and development from multiple angles.
On the same day, 122 pieces of “Good News” in banking for 2025 were also announced, categorized into media groups and financial institution groups, covering five major themes: “Reform and Development,” “Technological Innovation,” “Inclusive Finance,” “Serving People’s Livelihood,” and “Financial Achievements.”
