Japan Petrochemical Industry Association: Petrochemical Products Will Not Face Supply Difficulties Due to Middle East Situation for Now

The Japan Petrochemical Industry Association issued a statement regarding the Middle East situation, stating that given the current domestic petrochemical product inventory levels, there is no immediate risk of supply shortages. The statement said that Japan’s overall petrochemical product inventory is roughly equivalent to about two months of supply. However, the association is closely monitoring the Middle East conflict, which remains highly tense. As an important raw material for petrochemical products, approximately 40% of Japan’s naphtha comes from the Middle East. (Cailian Press)
