Ping An Bank Shanghai Branch Launches "Ping An Accompanies You, Warmly Walks with the 'New'" Financial Education Publicity and Public Welfare Care Initiative
(Source: Shanghai Observer News)
Spring tides surge warmly in the heart, with consumer protection guiding the way forward. During the 2026 “3.15” Financial Consumer Rights Protection Education and Publicity Campaign, Ping An Bank Shanghai Branch, together with several Ping An Group professional companies in Shanghai, actively responded to the theme of “Clear Financial Networks, Safeguard Peace of Mind in Consumption.” They launched the “Ping An Accompanying Warm ‘New’ Journey” public welfare campaign, focusing on the new employment groups of “Two Companies and Two Members” (truck drivers, ride-hailing drivers, delivery workers, couriers). Combining financial education and publicity with heartfelt public welfare care, they use professionalism and warmth to strengthen the financial safety barrier for frontline workers and spread city financial warmth.
Everyone responds to spread warmth, making consumer protection responsibilities deeply felt
Zou Yuetong, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shanghai Branch, coordinated and deployed this activity, sending an initiative letter to all staff, urging the integration of “Finance for the People” into daily routines and practical actions, encouraging everyone to become consumer protection advocates and public welfare practitioners. The branch launched a nationwide promotional campaign, with employees transforming into “Little Orange Hat” public welfare volunteers, stepping out of the workplace and onto the streets. In daily scenarios such as receiving takeout, couriers, and ride-hailing, they proactively provide one-on-one financial knowledge popularization and public welfare care services. The customized “Consumer Protection Love Package” was delivered simultaneously, containing easy-to-understand financial knowledge manuals, vivid case studies to help quickly grasp how to prevent telecom fraud and marketing tricks, beware of illegal代理维权, and protect personal information. It also included essential items for workers such as sports backpacks, neck and shoulder relief patches, cooling nasal inhalers, phone stands, and waterproof phone bags, precisely addressing the long-standing work pain points of city “hustlers” who often rush, sit, or stand for long periods, making financial care visible, tangible, and warm.
Building a station cooperation platform, caring warmth accompanies the journey
During the campaign, Shanghai Branch collaborated with Ping An Life Shanghai Branch to carry out a series of “Financial Consumer Protection into Service Stations” activities. On March 10, “Ping An Guardians” visited the courier station at Kangqiao Road Dongyuan Apartment in Pudong New Area, focusing precisely on delivery workers, bringing financial knowledge and warm care to their “doorstep.” At the event, a “Warm Hearted Guardian Station” was officially unveiled, creating a consumer protection service platform for this group, giving hardworking workers a place to rest and learn. Professional instructors delivered on-site lectures, using real cases to analyze scams such as fake rebates, impersonating customer service, false financial management, high-interest online loans, and credit card fraud, tailored to the occupational characteristics and consumption habits of couriers. Interactive Q&A tested the “learning outcomes,” and comic books such as “Three Minutes of Financial Knowledge” and “Three Minutes of Telecom Network Fraud Prevention,” jointly published by the head office and China Legal Publishing House, were distributed.
Subsequently, volunteers delivered “Consumer Protection Love Packages” and customized stickers and placemats to couriers. Couriers affixed stickers to delivery boxes and handed out placemats to customers, achieving a “second transmission” of financial knowledge. Dressed in new gear and carrying promotional materials, couriers transformed into “Little Orange Hats,” becoming mobile transmitters of financial knowledge, gradually disappearing into the city’s steel jungle.
The branch coordinated with some courier and express delivery companies to carry out similar warm activities, achieving full coverage and care for the “Two Companies and Two Members” groups.
Fun financial learning activities, risk alerts to protect “money bags”
On March 11, the campaign continued to heat up. Several Ping An Group companies in Shanghai held a lively “Ping An Guardians Action” at the back square of Lujiazui Ping An Financial Tower. A large themed backdrop was set up, along with financial knowledge booths, and innovative interactive devices such as “Resist Financial Traps” and “Financial Safety Jumping Fun” were introduced, breaking traditional publicity modes to make financial knowledge lively and engaging. Zou Yue, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shanghai Branch; Zhao Fang, Party Committee Member and Assistant President; and leaders from Ping An Life Shanghai Branch participated on-site. Through fun games and quiz stamps, they promoted financial knowledge among couriers, delivery workers, and citizens, helping everyone unlock new consumer protection skills amid laughter, subtly enhancing risk prevention awareness.
Each warm activity conveys financial warmth; each knowledge dissemination strengthens the safety line. The “Ping An Accompanying Warm ‘New’ Journey” series not only embodies Ping An Bank Shanghai Branch’s concrete practice of fulfilling its main responsibility for financial consumer protection but also vividly reflects its commitment to public welfare and caring for new employment groups. The branch will continue to carry out more down-to-earth, creative, and warm consumer protection publicity and public welfare activities, expanding coverage, improving effectiveness, and using financial strength to safeguard every consumer’s legal rights, contributing to a clean, safe, and orderly financial consumption environment with Ping An’s power.
