WTI crude oil dropped $0.53 per barrel within 5 minutes, to $84.45 per barrel; Brent crude oil dropped $0.54 per barrel within 5 minutes, to $90.1 per barrel. Reports indicate that Japan may release its oil reserves as early as next Monday.
