Adam Beshara Elevated to President Position at BDT & MSD Partners
BDT & MSD Partners has named Adam Beshara to a senior leadership position, bringing his extensive professional background to one of five presidential roles at the firm. Beginning in May 2026, Beshara transitions from his long tenure at Centerview Partners, where he had established himself as a key advisor in complex financial matters. This appointment underscores the firm’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its leadership ranks as it scales advisory capabilities for founder-led and family-controlled enterprises.
From Centerview to BDT & MSD: A Career Evolution
Adam Beshara’s move represents a significant career progression. At Centerview Partners, where he spent more than a decade beginning in 2012, Beshara gained recognition for his work advising prominent industrial and services companies. His client roster included names like Johnson Controls International, DuPont, Waste Management, and Walmart—reflecting his expertise in complex business transactions. Before joining Centerview, Beshara logged 14 years at JPMorgan Chase, where he advanced through several senior management positions, building a foundation in financial advisory across multiple market cycles.
The Firm’s Advisory Philosophy and Market Position
BDT & MSD Partners was formed through a 2022 merger combining Byron Trott’s BDT merchant banking operation with MSD Partners, the investment vehicle of Michael Dell’s family office. Led by Trott and Gregg Lemkau—both veterans of Goldman Sachs—the firm emphasizes a distinctive approach to client relationships. “We advise our clients as if we were investors ourselves,” Lemkau noted, articulating the core principle that guides the organization. Adam Beshara’s appointment aligns with this philosophy, as his track record demonstrates deep operational insight into the industries and companies the firm serves.
Leadership Structure and Recent Changes
Beshara joins fellow presidents Dan Jester, San Orr, Greg Olafson, and Amy Ennesser at the firm’s executive level. The recent transition also included Dina Powell McCormick, previously a president at BDT & MSD, who moved to assume a presidential position at Meta Platforms. Though stepping back from her presidential duties, Powell McCormick remains active on the firm’s advisory board, chaired by Michael Dell. Additionally, Erik Oken, bringing more than 30 years of JPMorgan experience and recent leadership at MidOcean Partners, has joined as regional head for the eastern United States, further strengthening the firm’s operational capacity.
