Interface News has learned from multiple insiders that Meizu’s mobile phone business has effectively come to a halt and will officially exit the market in March 2026. In addition, Meizu’s FlymeAuto vehicle system business will operate independently, and the Meizu brand may continue to be retained within the Geely ecosystem. According to reports, the Feishu group of Xingji Meizu currently has over 1,000 members, but many employees have already resigned, and a few have transferred to Geely’s Zeekr automotive division. In January 2026, Wan Zhiqiang, CMO of Xingji Meizu Group China, stated at an event that the significant increase in memory prices has had a huge impact on the mobile phone business plan, and the release of Meizu 22 Air has been canceled. He also revealed at the time that Meizu 23 would still be launched in 2026. However, according to Interface News, this project has already ceased substantial progress. An insider close to Meizu revealed that since April last year, many suppliers have been unable to settle payments normally, and a large amount of debt has become bad debt. “The likely outcome for Meizu is to file for bankruptcy.” As of press time, Xingji Meizu has not responded to this matter.
