The Hang Seng Index opened 152 points higher at 26,112, then fluctuated throughout the day, turning lower in the afternoon. It fell 61 points to close at 25,898, with a turnover of HKD 254.48 billion. The Tech Index declined 0.1% to 5,054 points. Cathay Pacific (00293) rose over 4% after earnings, NIO (09866) surged 14%, while AI lobster concept stocks retreated, with MINIMAX (00100) and Zhipu (02513) dropping 6%.
