CBS News reported on the 10th, citing sources, that Gulf countries are concerned about the current lack of missile defense weapons. The U.S. has learned that Gulf countries’ missile defense stockpiles are “about to run out” and they “must prioritize intercept targets.” CBS previously reported that Gulf countries’ missile defense inventories are running low and have requested the U.S. to accelerate supplies. U.S. allies in the Gulf region have been informed that the U.S. is forming a special task force to provide support. However, sources revealed that the U.S. action speed has not met the situation’s needs.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin responded to CBS questions, saying, “We are very well prepared for this.” He also stated that Iran’s missile capabilities have been reduced by 90%.

Austin said the U.S. can assist allies in replenishing missile defense stockpiles or “deliver across units to allies when necessary.” He emphasized that the U.S. will do its best to support its allies. (Xinhua)
