Investing.com – French Central Bank Governor François Villeroy de Galhau said on Wednesday that although the Iran war could lead to a slight increase in global prices and a slowdown in growth, France’s inflation is expected to remain low.

Villeroy told RTL radio, “Over time, the impact of this crisis is becoming clearer. From an economic perspective, this means inflation will rise slightly, and growth will slow somewhat.”

He added, “France’s inflation will stay low. Sometimes I see the word stagflation… but this is not stagflation because economic activity is not stagnating. We will continue to see growth.”
