Orlando Health and Acadia Healthcare have commenced construction on a new 144-bed behavioral health hospital in Apopka, Florida, through a joint venture. Slated to open in spring 2025, the facility will offer comprehensive inpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for acute mental health symptoms and co-occurring disorders across all age groups. This expansion aims to significantly increase access to critical behavioral health services in the greater Orlando area, with Orlando Health eventually transferring all inpatient behavioral health services from its South Seminole Hospital campus to the new facility.
