Pertamina and Halliburton have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to assess new well construction and stimulation technologies for onshore oil and gas fields in Indonesia. This partnership will evaluate multi-stage hydraulic fracturing, acid stimulation, and advanced cementing services, along with the potential use of automation and AI to improve drilling and fracturing processes. The initiative aims to revitalise mature fields, increase national energy production, and improve operational efficiency and cost management.
