Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced on March 3rd the status of data centers in the Middle East, stating that 25 services in AWS Middle East UAE remain disrupted, with dozens of AWS services affected in the UAE and Bahrain.

AWS explained that due to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, the AWS infrastructure in both the UAE and Bahrain suffered physical damage from drone attacks. In the UAE, two AWS facilities were directly attacked; in Bahrain, a drone attack near an AWS facility caused physical damage to the infrastructure. The attacks damaged building structures, interrupted power supply, and in some cases, subsequent firefighting efforts caused additional damage to the equipment.
