Recently, three companies under the CK Hutchison Holdings group—Cheung Kong Infrastructure, Power Assets Holdings, and CK Asset Holdings—jointly announced a major equity transaction. They will sell their entire interests in UK Power Networks to the French utility company Engie, with transaction amounts of HKD 44.3 billion, HKD 44.3 billion, and HKD 22.15 billion respectively.

UK Power Networks is a major electricity distribution company in the UK, serving London, Southeast England, and Eastern England. The company owns and operates approximately 192,000 kilometers of power lines and provides electricity services to over 29,000 square kilometers, benefiting 8.5 million households and businesses.

Regarding this sale, the three companies stated that it will generate significant accounting gains, and the cash proceeds will strongly support their future investments and acquisitions. This decision will undoubtedly bring new development opportunities and liquidity to CK Hutchison Holdings.
