The State Administration for Market Regulation announced today (26th) that in 2025, there will be 25.745 million new business entities nationwide. Among them, 9.5 million are new enterprises, and 16.194 million are new individual businesses. The growth of business entities shows a trend of innovation and quality improvement, laying the foundation for high-quality development.

Emerging and future industries are experiencing rapid growth, with strong innovation momentum. By 2025, the number of new enterprises related to the “8 emerging industries + 9 future industries” will reach 1.134 million, a 9.9% increase from the previous year. Leading fields such as humanoid robots, civil aviation, and generative artificial intelligence are driving the industry system to move up the global value chain.

Highlights in the consumer sector include the mutual promotion of demand and supply optimization. Under the strong pull of the robust domestic market, new productive forces are creating new consumption scenarios:

New supply creates new demand. By 2025, related business entities in “smart consumer equipment manufacturing” will develop rapidly, reaching a total of 78,000, with 5,000 new ones.
Experiential consumption empowers a better life. In 2025, 3.302 million new enterprises related to the cultural tourism industry will be established, a 12.2% increase from the previous year.
Aging population needs drive industry upgrades and expansion. In 2025, 68,000 new enterprises related to the “silver economy” will be established, a 17.1% increase from the previous year, maintaining high growth.

The scale of high-quality entrepreneurial talent remains stable, with more professional skills and a global perspective:

From traditional sectors, youth entrepreneurs continue to grow. By the end of 2025, the “wholesale and retail” sector will reach 1.729 million, an 8.4% increase since 2021.

From emerging sectors, young entrepreneurs remain the main force. The “scientific research and technical services” and “culture, sports, and entertainment” industries will reach 213,000 and 526,000 respectively.

In terms of entrepreneurial models, internet-based business entities are growing rapidly. By 2025, new internet live-streaming companies and individual businesses are both increasing quickly.
