On February 6th, local time, U.S. President Trump stated that the United States and Iran had “very good talks,” and that Iran is “very eager” to reach an agreement. Trump said on Air Force One that day, “We had very good talks, and Iran seems very eager to reach an agreement. We need to see what the deal entails. I think Iran looks very eager to reach an agreement. We have a large fleet, a large navy heading in that direction, and they will arrive soon. We’ll see how things develop.” Members of the U.S. delegation attending the US-Iran Oman talks include Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of U.S. Central Command.
