According to KCNA News Agency on the 8th, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea decided on the 7th that the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea will be held in late February in the capital, Pyongyang. The report said that on the 7th, the Political Bureau of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea held a meeting at the headquarters of the Central Committee, with General Secretary Kim Jong Un guiding the meeting. At the request of Kim Jong Un, the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Secretary of the Central Committee, Zhao Yongyuan, presided over the meeting. The meeting covered multiple agendas, including reviewing the qualifications of delegates for the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea and discussing the agenda for the 9th Congress. The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea listened to and reviewed reports on various topics and approved related decisions. The meeting unanimously adopted a resolution to hold the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea in late February in Pyongyang.
