According to a report by the Ukrainian International Information Agency on the 3rd, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said during a speech at Ukraine’s Supreme Rada (Parliament) that once Russia and Ukraine reach a peace agreement, NATO’s troops, fighter jets, and maritime support will immediately arrive in Ukraine. Stoltenberg stated that NATO will continue to stand with Ukraine, pressure Russia, and work to ensure lasting peace for Ukraine. However, in order to reach a peace agreement, Ukraine needs to make “difficult decisions.”
Additionally, according to a message released on the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website on the 2nd, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia cannot accept Western countries deploying military personnel, military facilities, and other infrastructure such as warehouses in Ukraine.
