Nickel prices declined this week, and the MHP nickel coefficient spot quote was lowered to around 89%. The cost of nickel sulfate has decreased, expanding profit margins. As of February 6, 2026, the cost of dissolving nickel sulfate in nickel beans is 30,510 RMB/ton, with a profit of 1,640 RMB/ton; the cost of refining nickel hydroxide into nickel sulfate is 30,238 RMB/ton, with a profit of 1,912 RMB/ton; and the cost of refining high-grade nickel into nickel sulfate is 28,562 RMB/ton, with a profit of 3,588 RMB/ton.
