The market has been volatile recently, and I managed to catch a wave of gains with SOL, so I took profits and secured my position. But the pullback in ETH and BNB also reminded me of a harsh reality—profits beyond our understanding will eventually be given back.

It was the same when I was trading RONIN and AXS before. Before truly understanding the project logic and risk boundaries, my approach was to observe patiently and not rush to exit. While this might mean missing some opportunities, it’s more important to avoid the fatal damage caused by ignorance.

There’s a saying that I remember well: investing is essentially a fight against ignorance. The real risk comes from not knowing what you should be learning. Just think about it—markets are always changing, but your understanding might be stuck in yesterday. That guarantees your decisions today will lead to pitfalls. Weather forecasts often get it wrong, so how can market trends be any different? Instead of fighting the market, it’s better to push yourself to learn a little more every day.

After trading for a while, I realized that the real competitor isn’t the market, but the ceiling of your own knowledge. The more you learn, the more confident you become. Those stories of “getting rich overnight” are just stories. Steadily deepening your understanding and improving your judgment is the real ticket to long-term survival.

That's right, the metaphor of the cognitive ceiling is excellent; it's more useful than any stop-loss.

You're right, the cognitive ceiling really hits hard. But the FOMO is truly unbearable.

That's right, the cognitive ceiling is really a bottleneck, and the few coins I FOMOed into before have been lessons learned the hard way. --- SOL this wave was indeed copied comfortably, but those friends who haven't exited are probably crying now. --- Weather forecasts all failed, that analogy is perfect, it made me laugh out loud. --- I also jumped into the RONIN pit, now I only dare to move when the big coin is more stable, otherwise I keep learning. --- Learning a little more every day sounds simple, but sticking to it is really difficult; most people still want to take shortcuts. --- Securing profits is never wrong, but human nature is easily greedy; seeing others make money makes it hard to resist.

That's right, that's the point—cognitive ceiling is the biggest enemy.

You're right, the cognitive ceiling really hits hard. I was also slapped in the face by it before. Securing the gains now feels more appealing than anything else.

This guy is really sharp, hitting the nail on the head. The statement about the cognitive ceiling was brilliant; I used to crash and burn because of that. --- SOL's move this time is flawless, but honestly, there aren't many people who can secure the profit. --- The more I learn, the more confident I become. I took a screenshot of this and remind myself every day. --- Wait, you're saying the real risk is not knowing what to learn? Isn't that obvious? If you don't understand, then you just don't understand. --- I was also watching the RONIN wave. Seeing others eat the meat, I could only stare blankly on the side. Looking back, I'm glad I didn't act impulsively. --- That's a bit painful. Where are my friends who once talked about "getting rich overnight" now? --- Instead of fighting the market, it's better to push yourself to learn more. It sounds good, but how much self-discipline does it really take to do that?
