Honestly, people who have used both Apple and Android will notice the differences between these two systems in AI.
Android is inherently suitable for deep interactions, multimodal capabilities, and system-level calls—there's no limit to how you can play with it; while Apple, prioritizing security, has been more constrained. For a long time, Siri was still stuck at basic commands like "set an alarm," and was even the subject of some jokes.
So when I saw Apple announce the integration of Gemini's AI capabilities into Siri, I felt that the AI ceiling for iPhone might really be about to appear.
The significance of Gemini is not just a more powerful model, but that the space for system-level AI assistants has officially opened. And this step is very critical for @Kindred_AI. Kindred has already proven on Android that it is not a cold, tool-like AI, but an empathetic, conversational, and emotionally understanding companion assistant.
Now that Apple is embracing deeper AI capabilities, it’s like opening a door for Kindred within the iPhone ecosystem, with a very high degree of fit.
I’ve always believed that the true value of Kindred isn’t just in being smart, but in the sense of companionship—non-judgmental, non-annoying, online 24/7, being understood. This is, in itself, a rare capability in current AI systems.
Looking at the community discussion heat, it’s clear this isn’t just a short-term hype. Apple’s move is very well planned, and Kindred is riding the wave. The day when emotional AI assistants truly reach the masses is really not far off.
