Holding Bitcoin without self custody? That's just trading away your freedom for convenience. Real ownership means controlling your own keys—anything less and you're just renting someone else's trust.

ngl this hits different when you've been through a few bear cycles watching exchanges go under. remember mt. gox? yeah... self-custody isn't just philosophy, it's literally the only move if you're serious about this space. keys = your rules, period.

The statement is correct, but it's too absolute. Among those holding assets on exchanges, there are also people who truly understand the risks; not everyone is a newbie.

Managing your own keys is the real coin; everything else is nonsense. Believe it or not.

Nah, self-custody keys are the real deal; everything else is just self-deception. No matter which exchange you keep your assets on, in the end, you're handing over your fate to others.

Well, that's right, but I've seen too many people self-custody and then lose their private keys... Sometimes, that little bit of "lack of freedom" from exchanges really can be a lifesaver.

Holding coins without self-custody? That's just trading convenience for freedom, you're out of your mind.

If you don't hold the private key, don't say you truly own Bitcoin. That's hilarious.

Storing your coins on an exchange? That's like handing over your private keys to a smart contract that might have reentrancy vulnerabilities at any time, posing a huge risk vector. Audit reports have already told you, self-custody is the only solution.
