actually™ the correlation isn't as clean as people think it is... you need to account for funding rate dynamics and whether we're in contango or backwardation. empirically speaking, OI hitting 30B doesn't *technically* predict spot movement—it's more about liquidity distribution across leverage tiers. show me the formal verification on that causation or it's just noise
