According to the latest news, on January 8th, Electric Coin Company (ECC), the core developer of Zcash, announced a significant organizational change. He stated that due to the non-profit organization Bootstrap, which is responsible for managing ECC, diverging "significantly" from the governance direction and Zcash's core mission, the ECC development team has collectively left the original structure and is in the process of establishing a new company.

Swihart further explained that in recent weeks, the decisions made by the majority of Bootstrap's board members have increasingly diverged from Zcash's original vision. This disagreement ultimately led the ECC team to face unilateral changes to their employment conditions, prompting their collective resignation. However, it is worth noting that the new company will be formed by the original core team, and the team's mission remains unchanged — to continue developing an "unstoppable privacy currency."

Interestingly, Swihart emphasized that this conflict is a governance-level disagreement and has nothing to do with the Zcash protocol itself or its technical implementation. In other words, this is an organizational management dispute rather than a technical issue that could lead to a protocol split. This distinction is important because it means the operation and security of the Zcash network will not be directly affected by this event.

From the perspective of governance structure collapse, this is actually a typical DAO dilemma—the decision-making vacuum after decentralization of power. Research shows that when non-profit governance structures diverge from technological vision, the turnover rate of core contributors often spikes in the short term, with data indicating that talent loss can reach over 40% within three months after such events. It is worth noting that Swihart specifically emphasizes "non-technical" conflicts, and this way of expression itself is worth pondering—he is intentionally drawing an analogy to the split faced by the Zcash protocol, but from the perspective of organizational economics, such a split often signals the beginning of ecosystem fragmentation. Whether the new organization can secure enough funding and community support is the true variable.

Is the core team collectively leaving? Honestly, it's still for easier韭菜 harvesting. The explanation of governance disagreements is just for show, but technically, ZEC needs to see if the support levels can hold; otherwise, this rebound is just a trap set by the manipulators. --- On the governance side? I think it's just a tactic to establish a new company for re-funding. Everyone, pay attention to risk control. --- Wait, if they all leave, can development still continue? I find it a bit hard to trust. We must keep an eye on subsequent developments. --- It's called a privacy coin in a nice way, but in a harsh way, it's a money laundering tool. When regulators clamp down, the project team will be the first to run. --- Zcash is causing trouble again? In the crypto world, whenever there's governance turmoil, the底层韭菜 should be prepared to cut losses, brothers. --- From a technical perspective, this doesn't significantly impact the protocol, but psychologically, the damage is considerable. Be alert for a dip within the day. --- Collectively establishing a new company? Ah, it seems there's a new round of fundraising stories coming. Who knows who they'll be cutting then. --- Don't be fooled by the term "unstoppable." What is truly unstoppable is the project's determination to cut韭菜. --- That's the support level, everyone. If it breaks, be careful.

Another big drama in the crypto internal conflict... This time, Zcash messed up, basically a slap in the face regarding the future direction of privacy coins. It's a governance issue; technically, there's no problem, but the public's confidence has waned. Whether the new company can rely on its core team remains the key point. It's the old routine—everyone says nice things before parting ways, but the real test is still to come.

It's the same old story... Governance disagreements, technical issues—why does this sound so familiar? Haha
