On March 12, Beijing time, it was reported that Tether will issue the stablecoin USDT on Bitcoin.
According to reports, Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino stated on social media that Tether will issue USDT on the Bitcoin network. He mentioned that this idea came about after discussions with Adam Back and Samson Mow.
Paolo Ardoino also stated that Tether plans to launch this feature later this year. He emphasized that this will be "real" Bitcoin USDT, rather than a wrapped or synthetic asset.
