The SEC just dropped new deadlines for a bunch of crypto ETF applications. All final calls? Happening throughout October 2025. Kind of surprising they're bunching them together like this.
NYSE Arca's Truth Social Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF gets its verdict October 8th. Grayscale's Litecoin and Solana conversions follow on the 10th. 21Shares and Bitwise will hear about their Solana ETFs by the 16th. XRP offerings from WisdomTree and 21Shares? October 24th.
That Truth Social ETF is interesting. Filed back in June. It's basically a trust holding actual Bitcoin and Ether. Trump branding, but works just like the other spot ETFs already trading. Nothing too fancy there.
Cboe BZX wants the first U.S. spot Solana ETFs approved. If they get the green light, investors could get Solana exposure without dealing with crypto wallets and keys themselves. Seems convenient.
Bloomberg analysts are pretty bullish. Seyffart and Balchunas give these altcoin ETFs a 95% chance of approval. Their reasoning? The SEC's actually talking to issuers now. Plus those CFTC-regulated futures markets exist already. Good signs.
The SEC's been dragging its feet all year. Delay after delay. But lately? They're speeding things up a bit. The regulatory winds might be shifting. Not entirely clear why.
U.S. markets already have Bitcoin ETFs. Some Ethereum ones too. Applications for other tokens keep piling up. Globally, we're talking hundreds of crypto ETFs. BlackRock's Bitcoin Trust dominates though. Big name, lots of liquidity. The others can't really compete yet.
Hashdex didn't waste any time after those new listing standards came through. They've already rolled out XRP, Solana, and Stellar ETFs. Wall Street's crypto embrace is definitely picking up steam.
