SEC Chairman Gary Gensler reiterated that the field of encryption is "rife with bad actors"

PANews on January 9th, according to Jinshi News, Gary Gensler, the outgoing chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), said in an interview with Bloomberg TV that he is proud of the work done by the agency and that there is still 'work to be done' less than two weeks before his departure. Gensler reiterated his belief that the field of encryption is 'filled with bad actors'. When asked about the cases brought by the SEC against cryptocurrencies during his tenure and whether it led to a change in his behavior, Gensler said that the agency's work is built on the foundation laid by previous chairmen and that there is still much work to be done.
