Contrary to recent social media reports suggesting that Denmark is "imminently banning" Bitcoin wallets, the Danish regulator has not proposed a ban on self-custody crypto wallets. The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (DFSA) has denied false reports that the regulator plans to ban self-custodial wallets, also known as non-custodial wallets. The regulatory clarification by DFSA follows the regulatory assessment of decentralization under the backdrop of the full implementation of the encrypted asset market (MiCA) on June 30.
