India seeks U.S. assurance that no additional tariffs will be imposed after a trade agreement is reached.

Jin10 data reported on June 17th that sources say the Indian government hopes the U.S. government will provide assurances that once a bilateral trade agreement is finalized, the U.S. will not impose any additional tariffs on India. India hopes the agreement will include a clause that allows for renegotiation or compensation if the U.S. raises tariffs again.
