Jin10 data reported on September 16, that on Monday, a U.S. appeals court rejected President Trump's request to dismiss Federal Reserve Board of Governors member Lisa Cook, marking the first time since the Federal Reserve's establishment in 1913 that a president has attempted such action. The ruling by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals means that during the Fed's policy meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday local time, Cook can temporarily remain at the Fed. The Trump administration is expected to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. Additionally, on Monday local time, the Federal Reserve Board member nominee selected by Trump, Milan, received enough votes in the U.S. Senate for confirmation, allowing him to participate in the Fed's interest rate decisions this week alongside the other 11 voting members.
