Golden Ten Data, May 27, according to AXIOS, Meta Platforms (META.O) is restructuring its artificial intelligence team to accelerate the launch of new products and features. In an internal memo released Tuesday, Chief Product Officer Chris Cox announced that the new architecture will split the team into two teams: (1) AI Product Team: Led by Connor Hayes, responsible for the Meta AI assistant, AI Studio tools, and AI feature development within Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. (2) General Artificial Intelligence Foundation Team: Co-led by Ahmad Al-Dahle and Amir Frenkel, it covers Llama model development, inference ability improvement, multimedia and speech technology, etc. The company's original AI research unit, FAIR (Basic Artificial Intelligence Research), will remain independent, but a specific team focused on multimedia technology will be merged into the newly formed AGI Foundation Team.
