Eric Trump Says Bitcoin Beats Gold in Value Race

Abstract generation in progress

Eric Trump says Bitcoin’s 21M cap and unchangeable rules attract investors seeking a reliable, authority-free store of value.

He argues Bitcoin outperforms gold in mobility, enabling instant global transfers without the limits of transporting metals.

Eric highlights mining misconceptions to show Bitcoin’s preset code-based system, framing it as a deflationary digital asset.

Eric Trump said Bitcoin offers stronger utility than gold during a discussion with Grant Cardone on Friday, highlighting its fixed supply, easy mobility, and global demand. The exchange took place on Cardone’s platform, where Trump explained why many major investors now treat Bitcoin as a core store of value. He linked the shift to Bitcoin’s capped issuance and its round-the-clock transfer features.

Bitcoin’s Fixed Supply Drives Investor Interest

Trump said the 21 million coin cap shapes Bitcoin’s appeal because investors want assets that no authority can alter. He added that sovereign wealth funds and wealthy individuals now seek exposure because the supply rules remain clear

This idea then led him to describe Bitcoin as “digital gold,” noting that traders move it at any time without middlemen. He contrasted this mobility with the limits around physical metals

He said travelers cannot freely move large amounts of gold through airports, however they can carry Bitcoin on small devices without issues. This point set up his argument that simple movement increases Bitcoin’s utility for people who need to transfer value quickly.

Comments on Mining Misunderstandings

The discussion then shifted to early investors in US Bitcoin Corp, now part of Hut 8, which connects to American Bitcoin Corp. Trump recalled a call from an older investor who asked if mining produced physical coins. He said the investor believed photos of gold-colored tokens represented actual output.

This example helped Trump explain how Bitcoin operates under preset rules instead of a central authority. He said the system mints only digital units, and miners follow code that defines supply. He described Bitcoin as a “deflation asset,” noting that issuance decreases over time.

How the Rules Shape Bitcoin’s Structure

Trump also pointed to the simple framework behind Bitcoin’s design. He said the protocol runs on rules written like “commandments,” and miners follow them as they validate transactions

This structure then links back to his main argument: people value Bitcoin because its rules stay fixed and visible. He noted that these features help users understand why the asset draws demand worldwide.
