This week, I went in and out of the market over a dozen times, but most of the moves were just small gains and losses—barely more than a mosquito’s leg. But if I had to pick the trades that I was still thinking about before going to sleep? It would be three short positions—the two battles on $IRYS , plus that one cut on $BOB .

There were moments of panic when I stepped on a landmine, and also that satisfying feeling when I caught the right direction.

Let’s talk about those two $IRYS trades first. When I opened the first short, my mindset was pretty cocky—I looked at the chart and thought it was time to drop, but the market didn’t play along at all. I panicked and stopped out, my mind went blank. But after calming down and reviewing the trade, I realized I hadn’t misjudged the overall direction—it was just that my entry was too early.

So I waited for a more solid position and set up another short the second time. This time I felt much more grounded. Once the trend was confirmed, I watched it go all the way down and ended up taking a 37% profit. That experience of “losing one trade, but making it back with the next” is way more memorable than just making easy money.

The $BOB trade was relatively simple but nailed the timing. I spotted hesitation near the resistance level, decisively went short, and set my take-profit without hesitation. Even though the return wasn’t as impressive as $IRYS , that feeling of “called it right, executed it right, exited right” is the most addictive part of trading.

Looking back at this week’s trading log, all those little trades were just noise. The ones truly worth reviewing are always those key trades that make you sweat, make you think, and ultimately teach you a lasting lesson.
