The global cryptocurrency market cap has slipped to around ≈ $3.02–$3.04 trillion, marking a drop of 3–5% over the last 24 hours.
Bitcoin (BTC) dipped below ~$87–88 K, weighed down by heavy liquidations that wiped out ≈ $400 million in leveraged positions within an hour.
Ethereum (ETH) also saw a sharp fall — down roughly 5–6% — trading around the ~$2,800–$2,850 zone.
The sell-off has spread beyond BTC & ETH: many major altcoins are falling too, and overall market sentiment appears fragile.
